Helikon Haven Poetry Blog

is now OPEN for BUSINESS!!!

The Helikon was the river in mythology where Orpheus the musician died. It is considered a metaphor for poetry because the river, refusing to be impure, dove into the ground so that his killers could not wash their hands. Poetry must be pure and unadulterated by greed or enmity. I hope Helikon Haven allows it to be so.

Hiram's Adventures in a Garden State

 Adventures in a Garden State

My yard and my gardens are pretty lame, but I feel such joy working on them (until recently nature had little or no impact on me) that I wanted to share them in their infant state. If and when the marigolds, tomatoes and peppers appear I will post another montage. The YouTube version of my goldies' on video is virtually a blank canvas, but on my iPhone you can actually see them swimming. You'll have to use your ample poetic imaginations on that one.

On Being Redirected to Porn by a User

(I have moved this over from my new poetry blog as it has been viewed and/or attacked by internet scum prior to even being open. Only three people had anything to do with it, so either my stalkers are spying on me or them.)

To My Spyware, Porn-Scam Friends
Your reign of tyranny ends
My blood-hounds in pursuit
I'll make your scamming Moot
I promise, I will Triumph

Beware, yea evil gamers
the wrath of internet flamers.
The chase is afoot
You will face the shute
Hope you like it in the slammer!
